The significance of Teachers' blackboard drawings in a Waldorf school

The colourful, detailed blackboard drawings in the classrooms provide visual context for the current block / lessons or the ongoing preparations for school events or festivals. 




Whether illustrating a historical event, a scene from a story, or a relevant geometric or any other form helps students better understand the significance of the lesson or the event.



A blackboard drawing might blend elements of mythology, history, nature, geometry, literacy or numeracy etc., while reflecting the holistic approach of the curriculum.
